Contact us on your labor and employment matters

Our employment law practice focuses primarily on Maryland and Washington, D.C., although our counsel have appeared for clients in other states, including Virginia, West Virginia, New York, New Jersey, and New Hampshire. We represent management and executive employees and academics in all matters concerning the employment relationship. We negotiate executive contracts, conduct compliance audits, and direct internal investigations of claims.

Our clients include private and corporate employers, lawyers and law firms, and officers, managers and senior academics (professors and department chairs) as employees, advising them how to deal with emerging and immediate employment problems. We represent our clients as plaintiffs or defendants in court proceedings and before administrative agencies. We have drafted and revised personnel policies and procedures manuals, severance agreements and covenants not to compete, and we understand how these documents can be used offensively and defensively to attain client objectives.

We have specific case-driven experience with wrongful discharge and breach of implied and express employment contract claims, whistleblowing claims, sexual harassment claims, trade secret and non-compete claims, Defense Security Clearance matters, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Civil Rights Act, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Act.
